Algamega® is produced from an exclusively selected algae from Schizochytrium sp., which is able to produce high concentrations of DHA and EPA at a ratio of 2:1. In the past, the found Schizochytrium sp. only produces DHA with very minimal EPA content. Others may use non-edible algae from Nannochloropsis salina to produce oil with EPA. Algamega® is from an exclusive edible, non-GMO Schizochytrium sp. with high concentrations of DHA and EPA, making it the perfect vegan replacement of fish oil.

Algamega® sets apart from others, as it is cleaner, more sustainable, and contains high concentrations of DHA and EPA. During the production, the Algamega® oil is cultivated in a bioreactor, thus it is free from environmental pollutants like heavy metals, plasticizer and PCB. Besides, unlike fish oil, the extraction process does not involve organic solvents. The algae oil is then further processed with our exclusive PUFA-Sealing™ multi-layer microencapsulation technology to obtain Algamega® oil powder with wider applications.

Exclusive Microencapsulation Technology

PUFA-Sealing™, our proprietary multi-layer microencapsulation technology maximizes the advantages of Algamega®; the process transform algae oil into an amphophile with stringent standards of surface oil (free oil) ＜0.5%. It also meets the European and American standards of supplementing in infant formulas.

Our technology can overcome the oxidation problem of long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) as well as the fishy smell of DHA and EPA. Algamega® can simultaneously dissolved in both oil and water, thus it can be applied in a wide range of product, ranging from supplements, instant powder drink to liquid shots.
